Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATT being served up for an acquirer

Gotta get the cost structure and operations streamlined. That's why the indiscriminate layoffs regardless of ones importance to the business and bottom line. PowerPoints to Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, or whomever says they will cull the herd X heads by X date. Executives all walk out with cases full of cash while employees get the shaft. Open your eyes people they are out there shopping this and have already consulted on how to break it up and allocate that debt to the various piece parts.

Adding to that why is Verizon offering Comcast and spectrum ability to sell cheap cell plans. Verizon also has visible which is cheap. Seems the intent is to crush t, especialy since they own cable. The cable and cell business is being reduced. Cable doesn't need lots of upgrades but cell business does. So next generation cable is gone and so is t.

The only company that would buy is a rival. Recreate the monopoly but the gov would block in the phone business. That leaves the cable business. Comcast jumped this week because they gained a lot of customers in wireless. Spectrum charter is offering free wireless with cable, relying on Verizon.

Comcast has a lot of debt too and also a movie studio. Could have combined the two studios and cable. Comcast is too big to get bought but needs to be bigger.

Charter is small and already tied to t. The same people own warner. Might be able to gobble up a.much bigger company using some weird structure like with warner. Maybe just the cable.

All that debt turns anyone away other than those in the same business. T could get worse and go bankrupt and then get sold. If Comcast and such have cheap cell plans t seems doomed.

Well the company already separated Mobility from Core…so as some suspect, I too believe that the esteemed executives at AT&T are selling a part of the company because nothing that they are doing is to set up the business for growth.

Much of the employees aren’t really paying attention (because you all are buried!), however we Stankey said that the company’s 2023 mission is to sell TRANSPORT which means it’s game over folks.

My husband solutions out billion dollar deals for T…..however there’s nothing to solution out anymore.

Randall, Stankey and the Board should be ASHAMED of themselves for being total EPIC failures and demonstrate what NOT to do as a leader…..

but hey they are laughing all the way to the bank!

No company CEO in his/her right mind would acquire a company with $135B in debt in this economy or this industry! Keep dreaming, ATT will be here for a long time!
