I know someone on PIP who wound up laid off with severance
"Need to find a new job soon"
No issue just clean up your act and you will be fine
These tools who are telling you that you get a severance if you are fired from a PIP haven’t a clue. A PIP is a workplan, and those put on one are because management believes they don’t have what it takes to do your job. So you get a workplan that spells out how long you get to prove yourself, and management then decides whether to keep you or fire you. You DON’T get severance if you’re canned while on a workplan.
Few if any ever survive a workplan, so look for a new job now because you’re about to be tossed out.
Just smile and say Yes sir, no sir.
Don't forget to add
"Thank you sir, may I have another!"
Just smile and say Yes sir, no sir. Then get out, the sooner the better. And put in two weeks. Not a second more. None.
As someone who went through it, the latest you have is end of Q. You should have something lined up by then. If you have an x amount of years at Oracle you will get a severance, not as good as being laid off but still something. Best of luck.
The PIP is the company's signal that you're about to be canned with no severance. Start actively looking for another job now.
Did you have to sign it? How long is the PIP?
I am really not sure how I have not got one.
I am hoping for the straightforward RIF and package.
Just start looking. Once they do this your days are numbered.
What role/org?
They are setting you up like a bowling pin. At least you know what's coming,
OK? And?
