The CWA literally agreed to a clause in IHX that maintains that all performance management remains the same as it does for management employees. Aka the “behavior based / quality observation” requirements are completely optional and management has the exact same ability to term you for the result as they did before.
They lost pto, lost parental leave BIG TIME, lost flexible scheduling, and now work in the classic gag order driven all management bad propaganda machine that retail did, but with zero protection lol. It is insane how little the CWA does - I’m 100% convinced the company told them we will force you into IHX if you agree to these terms which acted as a cost cutting measure for the company and the CWA accepted knowing they wouldn’t get in legitimately.

The negotiated contracts contains provisions that result in economic disincentives to lay off, like things like job guarantees and so forth. They haven't prevented layoffs, but they have made those layoffs more expensive.
