There has been some posts here about BUs tauting that they will have 0% virtual workers and denying all requests. But has anyone heard of approvals and what org?

I was changed from Full time teleworker to Office. The boss didn't even ask his boss if they are considering full time teleworkers/virtual. He felt the answer would be no and didn't want to look uninformed. My boss is a gutless wonder
@1tnm+1nkQNRjd Where did you hear this? Is it official anywhere?
Can anyone confirm this?
“ The Cybersecurity division is not required to return to the office at this time because management is concerned that they would lose too much talent.”
Cybersecurity is forming its own LLC starting July and is then being sold. They don’t care where those employees work.
All US contractors along with employees of Europe, India, and Philippines are exempt from going back in to offices. Real employees of ATT cannot be trusted. It's obvious that AMERICAN telephone and telegraph company places more importance on their incompetent, cheap, and poor overseas staff than people who actually built this place. S c r ew this sheet hole company.
Pretty much sums up where they have their priorities. US employees are of no value to the A holes at the top. F U J S
Either mandate for all or none. This “exception” sh-t is what screws everything up. I realize life ain’t fair but they are unimaginable ba----ds for this.
Virtual is being approved in ACE
@ojp+1nkQNRjd Care to share which BU?
My team was told today by VP, no return to office, stay virtual. Welcome news.
Even with that info it’s still a sh/t show.
The Cybersecurity division is not required to return to the office at this time because management is concerned that they would lose too much talent.
"I heard a person in Paradise org was approved even though they are not greater than 50 miles from hub location. Not sure if true or not. "
This is the kind of cr-p that isn't gonna go over very well. When they start picking and choosing who gets a pass regarding the new rules it becomes nothing more than a popularity contest (i.e. discrimination).
This is the kind of sheet lawsuits are made of! I hope he and the other execs are prepared for the repercussions that result from these kind of examples.
"If you haven’t quietly been told you are going to be virtual going forward already, you aren’t going to be virtual."
That's not necessarily so. Anyone who's been supervising in the company long enough know not to ever trust anything until it's put in writing.
Been jerked around too many times.
I know of two people in Legg’s org who are approved for virtual.
If you haven’t quietly been told you are going to be virtual going forward already, you aren’t going to be virtual.
Only those that the BU wanted to protect will get this advantage. I know teams that have two people in the same team, one must move to keep a job- the other has been told they get to be virtual.
India Ops Approved!!
After the dust settles it will be easy to see who has TW.
Rumor has it CSO got like 25% of their org approved for virtual. have a good friend that works in CSO under Rexrod, and they have almost half their team virtual.
OMG. I can’t believe you are asking this question. Do you not understand the objectives here?
There's really not a point to asking this here.
You're going to get the angry cranks like you already got.
And people who may have been approved for TW are not going to come here or anywhere and crow about it. It would not benefit them to do so.
It's kind of irrelevant anyway. You have the leadership you have and they'll either arrange it or they won't. When you get the letter you will know. Nothing else matters.
Somewhere down the road Webphone mining will give you the answer.
I heard a person in Paradise org was approved even though they are not greater than 50 miles from hub location. Not sure if true or not.
People which are TW already will still stay TW, until all this RTO circus will be consolidated. If there is a new request for TW, it is delayed, not denied - again for the reason aforementioned. This is info for non Dallas & Atlanta employees what I caught. Nothing official of course.
I know of several in Legg’s org that got virtual.
No VP will approve TW at this point. Once a VP approves a TW, exception report gets generated and goes direct to JTS to review. You know he will make an inquiry.
tty+1nkQNRjd you must be very frustrated dcik
I know only one person who asked and was denied.
If virtual is a top priority, you need to pursue external opportunities..
