Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

If you work under the the Townes Org.....

Expect to work 5 days a week in the office no matter what your title, or what your TW or not. That's the dirty little secret that nobody is talking about, but has been spoken to people who already have been notified. There is a second paragraph in the documentation where you're an office worker or a virtual employee that says it is the digression of the business unit to tell you how many days to be in an office. Also, they are fine with people having to drive 50+ miles to an office, this has also been talked about with people. I've been told that one of my options is an office that is 64 miles from my home and two bridge tolls, but nothing is official until the Friday letter. I'm a PM and the person told about the 5 days is my engineer. We both work late night cuts due to the need of our customer, and that is not being taken into account by anyone in upper management. When asked about late night cuts an answer was "Come in the office in the morning, and go home and do your cutover" and when asked when we work until 1-2am, the answer was "Come in later the next day. I have been a TW for over 10 years and my engineer 18 years, due to how we support our customer. No Regard from people that have never done this type of work before, so they have no possible way to understand it!

We have posted some of the largest industry growth numbers over the last 3 years, with most management employees working from home. But now Stankey wants to see people he will never rub shoulders with in these offices that for the last 5 years they have been trying to close down. the board needs to remove Stankey and add him to the growing list of other failed ATT CEOs who had big ideas that failed. RTO is the worst Idea that has come out of Stankey's mouth!

"Im a PM"

Super common skillset. This would be a good opportunity for a new employee closer to a hub. Hubs are in population dense areas, so there will be no shortage of applicants.

Time to push back and only work within your designated work hours. At 5pm log off and go home. DO NOT work when you get home at night.
