Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Minimizing work is the best strategy.

Don’t work too hard.

To people who take pride in the firm, stop it.

Your skills are NOT transferable.

You will get the same “meets” due to stack ranking.

It’s just not worth it.

Save your energy for building skills that can be taken elsewhere!

There is cost. I've seen updated disclaimers using the new lingo and it didn't miracle itself into existance. Someone worked on that. More importantly, what's the benefit?

Wow different companies use different lingo? And we have people here at wells that used to work elsewhere? More news at 10.

@1sec+1nfhYTgC I think OP just doesn’t like that that people say it. There has been no branding or cost spent to change it to “the firm”. Not sure what you are going on about.

@uln+1nfhYTgC

No one on the coasts called it "the firm" either. We used to be a SF based bank. Is SF "flyover" country now? lol

People make fun of this kind of thing because it's a complete waste of time. Like changing from "team members" to "employees". Updating all the policy docs alone cost a fortune in wasted work hours, and for absolutely zero benefit. Stupidity like this should be mocked. This company has major issues, and instead of dealing with them these turds waste everyone's time on nonsense like this. It's mo--nic no matter what part of the country you happen to live in. But hey, if you feel differently I'd love to hear the business case that justifies the expense. We'll wait.

Are we agile yet? Or do they need us to scrum harder, and stretch our goals more for that next Meets Expectation and 1.7% raise while inflation was 8%.

I am meeting every deadline given, but am meeting that deadline the day of.
I may be done two weeks prior but sit around until it’s time to send something out.

It is the firm. There is no other word for the way Charlie and his misfits are ruing this company

Flyover people are extremely upset by city slickers using the term "the firm" apparently. Why does this site attract so many obsessive weirdos

I've worked here for decades, no one ever called it "the firm" until the id--ts in Hudson Yards showed up. I'm not associating myself with that kind of failure. Others are free to do so. Unless you're my boss, I really don't care.

@omu+1nfhYTgC That is completely normalized corporate speak, you’ll be ignoring a lot of people. Though that part isn’t the worst idea…

Rule #1: ignore anyone that describes it as "the firm".
