Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How Ironic

If you choose not to RTO your job will be outsourced to a person working from home.

Literally zero proof. I don't like the RTO either, but let's keep things factual.

Some of us have been reporting every day, never had a work from home option.

"and we have missed free cash flow targets so far this year"

And whose fault was that?

Acceptable error rate - ha!

You're right to laugh. They don't give a sh-t as long as the value to the business is there.

They will just create a new competitor for a fake bidding war to drive prices down.

If the business gets a competitive advantage from sending your job overseas to a country that can do it with an acceptable error rate and 1/10th of the cost ,they will do it.

Welcome to the internet revolution. The evangelists said it would happen in the 80s. The global economy is finally here.

It sucks.

It's not supposed to make sense under your assumptions. This is not about RTO or increasing 'efficiency' of anything. Headcount is the biggest expense and we have missed free cash flow targets so far this year.
