Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

where are fed warn notices?

For 6/22 layoffs? Are numbers not high enough to trigger this?

WARN doesn't apply to employees who refuse to relocate with their jobs. Good news for all of us that have friends in Dallas that want to start commuting downtown. Get ready for referral bonus bonanza!

Tried calling the warn number on the website and it’s disconnected. Nobody cares.

No need to file a WARN notification when T is doing a stealth layoff. After all, T's not officially laying anyone off. They're just forcing relocation across the country and those who decline are voluntarily leaving. No layoffs at all here.

That's the real stench behind Stink's plan. It's a ham-fisted attempt to avoid the negative publicity of announcing yet another layoff by pretending that it's 100% voluntary.

Most up to date WARN listing doesn't have ANYTHING from AT&T, but we all know AT&T lies, just look at their financials.

WARN reporting requirements were replaced by thelayoffs.com.

There are loopholes in the requirements for reporting.

I am guessing this is the angle where T is being viewed as ‘sneaky’ … since it is labeled as ‘RTO’ and ‘re-organizing’, they are able to sneak in the surplus without using the regular channels.

There are no WARN notices anymore. I haven't seen anything recently so something is definitely going on with how they are reporting layoffs. Or not reporting at all. It's all self reported.
