Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What excuse will they make up for not posting the jobs people don’t move for?

So if all this RTO “isn’t a layoff” (like they claim), then shouldn't all the positions turned down should be posted?

Either internally, externally, or both?

Otherwise it’s just obvious it’s to cut headcount… particularly the higher paid brackets (since it’s harder for someone with a working spouse / kids in school etc to just up and move)

they will list the openings in Dallas and the pay ranges will drop, they will then move to external recrutement, pack them into the restacked floors with two or three people in a cubicle.

Simple, “we are taking this time to evaluate our situation before any openings created by RTO/ relocation are posted on job link. They will be added at a later time as needs of the business dictates.”

Hint, it’s easier to look for a job when you already have a job.

I would stay in my current position and start looking outside the Bell system and get out of ATT ASAP! His place is a dead-end street, has been for the last 25 years or so unless you have connections!

There is over 100 level 2 job openings posted as of today. Majority I saw in Big Data/Finance and Technology. Primary locations mostly Dallas and hubs of course, so there are a lot of opportunities and openings. Wishing everyone the best of luck.

We are in a never ending hiring freeze, so none of those jobs will be posted.

You will have abandoned the position, leaving the work to be completed by committee team members.
