They want to chop as many heads as quickly and cheaply as possible. Your scenario does not warrant special consideration. That is how desperate leadership is. They did this and it's your fault and you will pay. No relocation, no severance, nothing. The balance sheet is on tilt brought to you by leadership. The Cash Flow forecast is in jeopardy as are most of the companies forecasts because people are all putting up rosy projections trying to save their groups. It's total dysfunction and chaos.
