They can monitor whatever they want. All they are doing is wasting money to prop up an inefficient dinosaur strategy that is doomed to fail anyway. RTO, in the end, will do more damage than 8 is Great.

Wake up call. Managers are monitoring RTO. So is Ops. I received an email instructing me to open a corrective action in Workday against an employee that was averaging 2 days per week for three months. This has negatively impacted her midyear review.

Fake news. Their 3 day RTO starts June 29 but is not mandated or tracked with threats like Wells Fargo. FRRO and F Charlie and his minions

"The elite only have the power that we allow them to have. It’s not hard to find out where they live. Time to stop whining and go do something about it."

Well they work at Hudson Yards so they likely live in NYC and New Jersey, with the top execs helicoptering to their weekend homes in the Hamptons.

As for the "do something about it", you can unionize or get a different job. If you're going to protest execs in person (or worse) you will lose. Even if an exec is suddenly departed from employment, they just get replaced. WF went through, what, 5 CEOs in 5 years? The company just gets a new one. Anyone that leaves is simply replaced.

If you want change at the low level it either needs to be regulatory (zero chance in this political gridlock) or form a union.

AT&T announcement last week

About 60,000 AT&T managers are being told to return to the office by September.
However, the mandate says workers must return to just nine locations, leaving an estimated 9,000 employees with the decision to quit or relocate.
One manager described the change as layoffs disguised as RTO policy.

Agree with the prior poster who said the elite aren’t hard to find. There is power in numbers. Don’t be a sheep.

Fake news . They are simply enforcing the 3 day per week model that many other banks have moved to. They are doing this because they couldn’t get anyone to show up voluntarily since we all have long since realized how useless working from the office really is. This is purely an attrition play. They need to make cuts and are hoping that by making their employees miserable instead that many will leave voluntarily and save them the severance expense/negative publicity that comes with mass layoffs.

This post is false, Truist is basically doing the same RTO as wells with 3 days a week for most, but also requiring 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays a month. For those that are above Job grade 114 they are requiring 4 days a week. At this time it's up to managers how they designate you, with most being designated as Hybrid but some can be designated as remote and stay WFH fully.
As with Wells the employees are not happy with this move which is happened with no notice during summer when kids are off school and finding childcare is nigh on impossible. As with most other companies this is to do with tax breaks and propping up the corporate real estate values (Truist bough Hearst Tower right before the pandemic)

FRTO, I hope that the senior management reap all they sow with this shortsighted mentality.
