E time offered at Credit & Collection call Centers

Any one know why E time is being offered at C&C call centers every day, week of 6/19?

There are many employees throughout the company that would love nothing more than to be laid off at this point rather than work for a company with no direction or opportunity!

Many of us want to be laid off.

"Credit and collections is a waste of a department. Placing a payment arrangement, advising the customer that service can’t be turned on until a payment is made can easily be done the the loyalty office."

Actually I'd argue that Loyalty is the most useless customer facing department. I've had to clean up more messes originating there than from any other department, except maybe retail.

NEVER TAKE E time!! That's a quick road to disaster. Even if you have to stare at the ceiling , NEVER take E time. That is always a tell tale sign of closures, not just surplusing .

E-time translate into hours then they can calculate how many employees they can go down. So in my experience when they see they can manage without 40 to 50 hours ( 5-6 people) short then the surplus comes.

Yep, they are testing routing to new centers.

A majority of centers are being off shored in an attempt to free up cash flow and reduce headcount.

Etime is nothing new. Call volume is seasonal in C&C. Would you prefer your job was also seasonal to match it?

Never a good sign.
Represents that you don’t have enough work coming in.
