Reports that fraudulent bank accounts have resurfaced at Wells Fargo are lies.
We have a rolls and rolls of documentation available for “know your client” controls in all our toilet stalls.

we are still a large company and process a lot of accounts. chances are someone was in a rush to get home and forgot to check all the items they should have when opening this account. could also be fraudsters have an in with some of the bankers and get fraudulent accounts opened that way. I'd say even companies a fraction of our size have some unscrupulous employees

I'm sure all the "controls" that have been put in place have fixed any issues. In reality it means 3 new EGS teams that don't understand anything other than check this box but it sure looks good to the regulators
