I as well as many of you will be laid off on 8/8. Many of you don't know it yet. I got pre-notification. If you are in a non-hub location, you are toast.

@2gsq+1nXtkp2O thanks for clarifying the purpose of this site. We didn’t realize it developer was active on this site.
State Street is a worse H1 visa farm, if we bring their management over, we are doomed to be offshored and H1 to death.
All I know is that my west coast manager has been planning transition. I am finding it odd that those who might be getting the transition work from are not available this afternoon which is awfully odd.
I am in Charlotte and it is a hub but they let go me on July 11th and hired new folks from state street because our cio is from there
bye! but probably we will see you back here on 8/9 making predictions about 8/22.
This board is for those that have been laid off. We also welcome those that are thinking about quitting, quietly quitting, and those that are fired. This board is somewhat of a recovery group.
Now this particular board has been somewhat of a management's gripe board. Well some of these posts are entertaining and can be used in our reflection on our Wells Fargo experience they are not the reason for this board. So @OP+1nXtkp2O HR Lady please come back and post on this board.
I am praying that I am on that list
dear hr,
lay me the F off and give me my severance package. stop being cheap and dragging this out for both of us. we mutually no longer want to work with one another.
best,
Typically the only groups that get pre-notified are those where it's logistically impossible to keep the news under wraps anyway. Of course they spin it as trying to help you plan your transition, but that's merely a side effect. When I lay people off they get pre-notified, it's the nature of our business.
BYE!
With the PR the Bank is getting with the latest Deposits fiasco, consider yourself lucky.
I think mortgage has had enough layoffs. New ones need to come from other areas.
I have job security
This is going to hit controls too
How do I get on the pre-notification list so I can celebrate early ?
With how decisions are being made lately, I wouldn't be surprised if I got laid off at an 11:30 am meeting, then told it didn't happen at 12 pm meeting that was scheduled right after the first one ended.
WF's layoff/location strategy nonsense is bipolar. One day the threat is there, next day its not. I hope they follow through on their promise (if that is what you are hoping for).
The only assurances WF has given me is that they will absolutely make sure to be as ambigious as possible without regards to my health and wellbeing.
It would hurt some to quit while leaving that severance carrot dangling on the table, but staying is way more damaging. My only act of retaliation will be to quit w/ zero day notice at a time that is most inconvenient for WF. Alas WF probably won't even care but it will make me feel a little better.
There's an overlap between non-hub and remote employees. Management is targeting both.
They can't can us all at once, thankfully.
OP, do you realize how many WF Employees are in non-Hub locations? It's impossible that they'll all be laid off on 8/8. non-Hub means not at one of the Core locations for your LOB - and that varies. It is not the same thing as Remote. I'm not saying non-Hubs aren't on a short-list somewhere; it's possible they are. I'm just saying that there are way, way too many people in non-Hub's locations to lay them all off on the same day.
Ok see you on 8/9 for the next dire warning
This isn't an airport, you don't have to announce departure.
I was laid off too, but, I still follow to get a sense of what is-ish going on.
So when you are fired you lose access to this board? Bummer.
So sorry OP
I'll hold my breath.
