Yep, Charlie is a stooge. He came in to run it into the ground, and you must admit he's done a banner job! So far sold off many profitable business lines, massive lay-offs, gaping chasm of lost institutional knowledge, causing all sorts of drama with continual lay-offs, RTO threats, ranked performance. Surrounded by his Yes Men, he has made zero decisions of his own, just does what Dimon does. It should be insulting to shareholders that he even draws a salary, never mind millions more in stock.
It's a hostile take-over from within.
Take all your business elsewhere, as WF cannot be trusted to do the right thing for their customers.
We all know that CS absolutely idolizes Dimon. Maybe this is one of those twisted situations where a person puts an end to, in this case a competitor, in order to impress that other person.
CS might be trying to end Wells Fargo in order to win over Dimon by driving business away from WF and into Chase's loving arms.

Assuming OP is a WF employee, one must separate their experience dealing w/ bad work culture and such and such w/ the business dealings that have started to point the company in the other direction.
It is all painful but if you adopt some sociopathic tendencies one can find a slice of promise in an otherwise miserable daily existence working within.
This is finance, this is capitalism! I must go for a mental health walk now. You should too!
