Company was stupid taking away the two positions that is truly the heart of the clubs. The receiving clerk and the payroll clerk.

Being a long-time associate and former t/l for the cash office along with being a back-up PTC, I am OFTEN approached for assistance, guidance and resolutions on serious issues like money losses and Cash recycler confusion. Also so many approach me, currently an A.M. merch, on PTC matters including why proper taxes are not being deducted, why they are not receiving the paycheck copies, how to handle LOA's and PTO's. One associate did not pick up his January/February live pay checks until I was researching another matter and discovered the issue. Management has asked me to return as MSL solely to work the cash office and PTC focusing on orientations. I declined. But agree each department that was mentioned needs to be returned in some form. Understand, the world is going digital but the company is proving we still need manual labor to help the digital part.

They don't care that we are overworked or understaffed. What they care about it not paying for insurance or giving pto to part-timers. And I've noticed a disturbing trend over the last few months. If a full-timer quits or is promoted, they hire two part-timers to replace them. In other words, they are doing away with full-time jobs. Cutting costs at all costs. That is what corporate does. Do not expect the jobs you are talking about to come back. It will never happen. What you can expect are fewer full-time employees and more work.

Agreed. PTC, Audit, cash office. Our receiving clerk did not step outside the office no matter what si honestly that wasn’t a big loss. But staffing in receiving then needs to go up because of those duties being put on the others, all of these were, ARE, essential. These are all areas of serious key controls. It’s a nightmare/joke with these positions gone. They’ll keep eliminating until everyone is a robot.

The clubs really went down hill after they eliminated all those positions. Nothing gets fully done anyone. We need audit, HR, overnights, and recieving team. Things are recieved wrong all the time now.

Receiving clerk..lol! That was a full time position that did about 1 hours worth of work per day to complete meaningless paper pushing tasks..rest of shift those typically tenured associates bs'd with drivers, vendors and any associates looking to ki-l time in the rcvng office .position should have been eliminated 15 years sooner and replaced by able bodied lift drivers/receivers

All of the positions that they eliminated were important pieces to club operations. Audit team, personnel, receiving team, overnight crew, cash office.....
The elimination of those jobs has put more of a workload on an already understaffed building & increased the bonus of those that made the decisions & decreased the bonus of hourly associates.
