Charlie doesn't really give a sh-t about expense ratios. If he did he'd drop diverse suppliers requirements, fire all the DEI people, close 90% of the admin buildings, have the 100k or so employees that don't need to work in building WFH instead and as part of the deal we have to provide our own tech hardware and use VDI, stop buying any kind of "carbon offsets", hire almost exclusively from lower cost of living areas etc.

With just those steps we'd be the most efficient large bank in the country with zero negative impact on the products we supply. Anyone think he'll do it? He-l no, because he doesn't give an S about expenses. Prove me wrong.

Senior Leadership changing the review process then asking managers who don’t work with you or know what you do every day saying random statements while the directs never get to review them!

I normally don't worry about the haves and have nots, but the WFH exceptions are ridiculous. Or the non hub hires

"Chainsaw Charlie" is literally mentioned on your Wikipedia bio? "

lmao-- I noticed that as well when I went to lookup how long he's been around.

I'm quite sure he couldn't care less. Our efficiency ratio has improved but still nowhere near JPM.

"welcome to corporate America. if you don't like it go run your own company and do as you please"

Thanks, Chuckie! How's it feel knowing your moniker "Chainsaw Charlie" is literally mentioned on your Wikipedia bio?

  1. Senior leaders wearing jeans and flip flops on branch visits
  2. Senior leaders demanding RTO, but then do presentations from their mansions/penthouses
  3. Senior leaders making their own hubs, while demanding others live in arbitrary hub locations! Limiting talent pools.
  4. Senior leaders getting huge raises when their performance su-ks
  5. Senior leaders sending surveys and then pretending not to understand why nobody likes their hub or RTO nonsense
  6. Senior leaders touting green initiatives and zero emissions, while also demanding people drive to hubs
  7. Senior leaders pretending to care while sending jobs to high risk countries

Just to name a few

"Engineering decisions..."

Don't forget 1/2 a$$ed implementation specific to whoever was enamored with said solution that doesn't end up working well anyway. And it'll never go away once it's in place.

"Engineering decisions will be made by our independent technical analysts to ensure we get the best solution implemented at Wells Fargo."

Reality: They just buy whatever is cheapest up front (not in the long term) and from whatever vendor gives the best marketing dinners to executives making the purchasing decisions.

Charlie failing on his “#1 priority” to improve oversight and governance and making $24.5 million per year, while laying off $20/hour hardworking employees in the name of “efficiencies”.

"you have to hub!" while special people get to hire outside of hubs. "We're better together!" while hiring thousands on the other side of the planet. "We care about nuerodiverse people!" while sh-t canning the remote ones because reasons. "You'll be held accountable for your performance" while the execs never ever are in any meaningful way.

Management in parts of the COO, some of whom aren't in hubs themselves, telling team members that aren't in hubs that the axe is coming for them, all the while promoting non-hub employees when it suits them.

WIM leadership constantly traveling for in person boondoggle events and extravagant town halls while home office travel budgets and resources have been cut to the bone
