Only essential travel now allowed at HCE. Unless it's business critical or customer-facing, use Teams or Zoom instead.

I used to be respectful when traveling but when DA came in and openly pi55ed on us I rinsed that travel card as hard as I could get away with. I started eating at really nice restaurants and drinking decent wine instead of a hole in the wall snack and a coke. When he started slashing the business but he himself stayed in 6 Star Hotels, buzzed around in the jets for 1 hour meetings, used helicopters for what was a 20 min drive and carried a full security entourage with him everywhere enough was enough. I hear you guys can't even have a beer with your meals nowadays! Move on peeps, where I work now I get business class on flights over 7 hours, nice hotels and a generous per diem.
Travel opens a can of worms. Customer meetings should travel. Have seen an individual travel to Korea for a half day meeting that could have been covered in a phone call. Was in a meeting with customers when an engineer from UOP Houston feel asleep numerous times. Guess who got a PIP for telling him to wake up. My point is most travel is beneficial and also has been abused in search of collecting miles. Miles can be seen as a perk and sort of a reward to your family for putting up with your long hours working.
Seems to me that business travel, covered by the company, SHOULD be business essential. Anything else would be waste

@1obt
Do you know the tail numbers of the gulf streams? I am following the 757, 170, and the piper on flightaware.com. I'd like to add those.
Does “ essential travel” limit the use of the 3 Gulfstreams jets and the Falcon ?
Been gone for 5 years.... Are they really still using the tired old play book???? Lemme guess... No food for meetings? No office supplies? No vacation? Mandatory OT on Cost+ programs?
I left and am so glad I did. It only gets worse from here.
Yep, same in AERO.
Company wide. Not just HCE.
