We have a mix of non vaccinated and vaccinated. We already have five positive cases and another who showed up very sick who was screamed at by peers until he left. In the past HR performed contact tracing and informed coworkers exposed. Now a days no one knows anything. For those that read this and feel invincible keep your naive lmao views to yourself.

The Government let the covid relief expire several months ago, deeming that it was now under control. That is why you now have to pay to be tested for Covid if you go to a doctor. Once the Government relief money or tax credits ran out, managers with T were told that they could go into any office with or without a vaccine and no mask. So then came RTO next.
I reported to the office with Covid a few months back. RTO. I have to be in the office.
Protect yourself. Protect your family. Get vaccinated.
No policy anymore, it’s just treated like the common cold now.
As it should. Just had Covid last week, felt sick, cold like symptoms, tested positive. Treated it like cold or flu, got over it in 3 days. Tested again. Negative. It's time we realize it's not going away and will keep circulating like cold and flu, and stop freaking out about it.
Ask the CDC~ you get covid & go home. Where a mask if you want or don’t. Pretty simple

So, upon return to work for my group, I was exposed to someone outside of work who contracted the virus (its still around people!) Upon me finding this out, I immediately notified my department who reached out to the then covid task force for confirmation of what the current rules are and they are this... as long as you are symptom free, COME ON IN to work! They don't have anymore off days for exposures, whether you are vaxd or unvaxed. If you are tested AND Have The virus, only then are you to take 5 days off AND FILE for FMLA coverage.
Maybe stop being a baby about catching the sniffles would make your life better. And like the previous poster suggested, stop sitting around watching the news all day so you’re not living your life in fear over what is essentially a cold.
It’s just a basic cold/flu now. Vaccination status doesn’t make any difference since the strains are so different. It’s literally like a cold (you know, like any coronavirus).

Fall is near and that is when kids return to school and the viruses begin to spread. Good luck not catching anything in these close together drop in environments where you will be collaborating.

Any place with large groups of people increases ones chance of catching something or making one’s immunity stronger from exposure. Your only choice is finding a job working from home to reduce your risk of exposure and that is not guaranteed either. For instance, during flu season someone is always carrying the flubug to work, retail store, gas station, post office, etc.. but don’t know it because it doesn’t manifest itself until a day or days later after contact. You will be exposed one way or the other. Thousands of people die every year from the flu but most people don’t freak out about it because most healthy people it are over it in matter of days or week.
I’ve had Covid when the Omicron variant first started circulating and only ran fever 1 1/2 days but was fine after that, everyone’s experience and body is different. I don’t freak out about Covid anymore, even though I lost a couple of elderly sick relatives in the early days. I’m not being insensitive but according to the Dr. they would have died if they had gotten the flu or pneumonia too, it’s a natural process. Nobody gets out of this world alive. My experience was different than some and my immunity is stronger for it.
P.S.
I worked installing/repairing phones and broadband in homes/businesses the whole time during the pandemic. Most support groups and managers were able to work from home. Now they are complaining about RTO, give me a break!
Give it up man. Its over. Use next excuse for job accommodations.

Writing this for the uninformed, anyone can get Covid, whether you were vaccinated or not. My 3X vaccinated wife and adult daughter have had it 4 different times, my adult son and I also 3X vaccinated have only had it once, we are residing in the same household. My Sister and Brother-in-law who aren’t vaccinated haven’t gotten sick once with Covid and they are in the public all the time. I agree if someone is running a fever or knows they are contagious then they should stay home but a cough or other mimicking symptoms doesn’t mean someone has Covid. They could just have bad allergies, cold, migraines, stomach bug or other issues.
The company no longer has Covid exceptions or testing in place. Those who are sick and stay home have to use company illness policies to get approved by Sedgwick to get paid for longer than 7 days off. FMLA approval covers attendance but not pay. It’s a pain in the assets to go through but it’s know different than the flu, tuberculosis, measles or any other communicable diseases. Need to see a doctor and have paperwork filled out, fax or email in to get approval.

ATT does not have to pay termination money to dead people so maybe that is their unofficial Covid policy.
