Embarking on a New Chapter: Departing AT&T as a Young Professional in My 20's

This environment is severely problematic! The leadership appears to be disconnected and outdated. The CEO's attempt to garner favor has been far from successful! I intend to tender my resignation, effective in two weeks maybe even sooner because I won’t be training anyone. Best of luck to my organization in comprehending the depth and intricacies of my contributions.

To my esteemed older colleagues, I hold your contributions in the highest regard, and I am immensely grateful for your invaluable guidance in navigating the complexities of this corporate landscape. As I embark on a new journey, please know that I cherish the wisdom you have imparted to me. I wish each of you nothing but the very best, and I sincerely hope you find a company that truly appreciates your expertise and fosters a harmonious coexistence between different generations within the workforce. Your legacy and experience are invaluable assets that should be celebrated and embraced in any forward-thinking organization.

I believe this and I think I know who may have written this as we have talked about this blog with another colleague regarding layoff information. I heard rumblimgs that she was interviewing outside. If it is the same young woman in my org, she is a very bright, articulate, young professional and will be an unfortunate loss to our org if she leaves.

Soon you’ll be in your thirties with little for retirement and high debt. Maybe the new company will keep you around a couple years if lucky.

A young person would not write something this long. They would just say something like “two weeks from today - bye Felicia .”

My professional development revolved around navigating an extraordinarily challenging work environment rather than honing the skills required for my role. The emphasis was on survival and comprehending the intricacies of this highly toxic atmosphere. Additionally, the training encompassed strategies for effectively managing leaders whose competence was far from satisfactory.

“because I won’t be training anyone.”

Why wouldn’t you follow the example given to you during your time at T?
