Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

No replay of 2Q earnings employee webcast from 2 PM CT on 7/26

Despite folks asking if a replay will be available in the Insider post from yesterday, today... (seems to be some keen interest for some reason)...??

There is no replay of yesterday's live event. I suspect that's going to remain the case.

I was watching live. It never occurred to me to record these things. When he started talking about the age of his workforce, I actually started listening...then I couldn't believe what I was hearing...and then it was over. Probably just a minute or so.

I am guessing you will never hear him use the word "age" when talking about surplus or layoffs again.

Regarding the Employee Q2 earnings webcast with JS on stage NOT the morning earnings call:

Someone must have recording and will post maybe on YouTube soon standby. Even if they don’t, people can attest to what they heard, and company will need to provide unedited video/transcript.
Company would actually be smarter (legally) to share recording like they always do to avoid suspicion of why this one didn’t follow precedent that’s been set.
If not, they’ll have another issue starting with “why wasn’t this shared?” All other CEO messages have been made available to employees who couldn’t join due to a conflict for a critical business need.
Stay tuned for someone to share or someone’s lawyer to request original. I believe company will be legally shrewd enough to share unedited version, they just need lawyers to listen to be ready with responses.

The statements relative to the age discrimination were in response to the last question of the session. So, go to the 30 minute mark and start from there.

Stankey probably got one of Trump's guys to delete it.

Everyone heard it, when the class action lawsuit comes, depositions from a few thousand people or statements from employees will put AT&T at disadvantage especially if they claim the video was lost or destroyed. Praying for that 1 conscientious employee who recorded this to make it public for all to see... obviously post anonymously as violation of COBC but just the right thing to do... go straight to largest law firm in the country for age discrimination

"The replay is out"

The replay is NOT out.

They are responding to multiple questions asking when it will be with the answer "next week". Look for altered video to be posted next week.

The replay is out. I don’t want to watch all 34 minutes. Does anyone know at what point he made this age comment everyone’s talking about?

"I would contact some outlets including Tucker Carlson. Post it on Truth Social, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter)"

Contacting respected journalists who actually report news might be even better!

Report what Stankey said to the media. They will jump all over that, especially the WSJ. I wasn't there or I would contact some outlets including Tucker Carlson. Post it on Truth Social, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter)

why are people lying and stating that it's up? what's the point of that?

It isn't.

But now a minion is stating that it will be up next week.

They will be editing this out, mark my words.

BleachBit and hammers seem to work well in these kind of situations. There is proof somewhere that it will work, hmmm…

I am sure there is a legal hold on the recording. There will be some legal request received in the near future to support the class action lawsuit.

There are recordings on the Internal call that individuals have. Don’t confuse the public earnings call with the internal Q&A call. The comments were made on the internal call and yes, afterwards an email with a survey was sent stating if you were unable to attend, a replay would be on the Insider… not there yet!

" transcript on yahoo news..."

Earnings call transcript from yesterday AM.

Not the same thing as the internal, employee only event held yesterday afternoon to discuss 2Q earnings. That is where comments were made.

People are confusing the recording of the investor call with the employee call later in the day. The comments were made on the employee call.

The Yahoo transcript is the investor call not the town hall where Stankey shoved his foot into his mouth and all the way through
