Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This is no longer a job I once enjoyed

I think that many of those who are now looking for a way out because they can no longer bear this place, at some point in the past actually really enjoyed working here. I am definitely one of them. How did they manage to turn this into a place where people despise their jobs? The change happened very quickly.

**Did anyone watch Stankey’s recent employee town hall around Q2 earnings? In answering a question around layoffs eroding expertise in the company, I am told he responded that our workforce is too old. I want to confirm what I was told. Is so, would think the media would be interested.

Stankey is the reason this went to h3ll in a hand basket so quickly. He learned nothing in his executive MBA at UCLA. He thinks being mean and nasty will when him respect and get the job done. T is teetering on the edge of a tall cliff because of him being stupid

Same. Used to love the spur of the moment challenges on night shift. Finally had to acknowledge that over the last several years the place has gone to sh1te. Lower level management is fine to work with, but the areas that upper management puts emphasis on are just plain d-mb. Losing head count left and right, a lot of them were down to 1 deep positions. Some of the systems have nobody left that know how to work on them. Customer impacting ones at that. Oh well.... I've pivoted to maintaining a better work-life balance. Do what I need to do and work on a new skillset or two (that I actually enjoy) in the meantime.

I still enjoy my job. I wish the company had better direction but I do enjoy what I do.

Skunkey exudes arrogance & epitomizes hypocrisy, greed and incompetence.

No, I've felt this way for years and remained for the pay and benefits. Now that I know older work force is not appreciated, I will be on my way out.
