Very interesting. That makes it look like Trew is looking to purchase something. Maybe they are going to buy Intelligrated back? Man I hope so. Also, how much of Intelligrated would they buy? The headquarters in Mason is really nice, but much larger than is currently needed. The rest of the year is going to be interesting to say the least

PPE will be sold for fractions of what they paid for it. 80/20 and 15 presidents the last 15-20 years has ki-led some great brands. Market share is declining in most all but a couple categories. Sad thing is about 5 years ago they had a chance to separate themselves from every competitor, but then JW decided to separate gas detection and PPE to sell it and then COVID happened and they thought they would turn healthcare into a billion dollar PPE business. 3 years later and millions in write downs of products and equipment later, we have no healthcare organization in PPE. But the guy responsible for many bone headed moves gets to follow JW to corporate and 3-4 more presidents later the organization is more dysfunctional than it has ever been

SPS layoffs are certain. There is not enough new business coming our way. Companies need to grow or die. Honeywell SPS is not growing.

Trew announces two new partnerships with investment firms. Coincidence?

Will there be SPS layoffs? Q4 results will be a huge barometer for VK so I estimate a 99.99% chance before the year is out and some news on 'changes' in the business.

Other than Trew, who would buy Intelligrated?

@kokq+1nNF64FF I think you are right, they are clearly trying to negotiate a sale currently.
I think a lot of SPS businesses are quietly on the market, maybe the whole lot!
PPE blew its best chance, that is for sure.
Honeywell's only hope is simplification, narrow down to a handful of businesses.

I'm thinking that we will have an idea of Intelligrated's worth at the end of the year.

Honeywell bought Intelligrated for 1.5 billion back on 2016. What is it worth today?

Why did ppe do RIFs? What positions were RIFed and isn’t there some roles open for hire there? Isn’t there a dir of sales position open?

PPE had 4 that were RIFF this month. Karma came for one horrible manager

They’ve tried to sell PPE and IGS multiple times. John boy and his team of inept clowns destroyed it and it’s a fire sale at this point. No one wants either business.

I think Trew would buy IGS. They have been awarded work by former customers (Amazon). In my opinion Honeywell never understood the business and they saw the customers as sheep that would grovel to get parts. When orders are entered and the ship date generated is a complete fantasy, some orders were approaching 2 years old. They simply can't work with that as they have a business to run and need the parts. For the icing on the cake fire good management and bring in the "not ready for prime time" Honeywell management and watch the show. I have had many interactions with the "not ready for prime time" management team. Their goal was to paint me inept unfortunately for them they kept missing the target. The entertaining part was they tried to outsmart me, it was an epic fail. Fortunately I was RIF'D and I was prepared for the change. If you are not ready, get ready as the end for most can't be far off.

You will never hear from Hineywell about RIFs or layoffs until you are called into a meeting with an HR monkey. Unless the layoff is large enough to require a WARN notice in your state, you'll never know. Hineywell is very good at staying under the WARN notice numbers. Furloughs are announced a couple of weeks ahead of time.

Isn't there supposed to be a new vp coming in to run intelligrated. Wonder if he will turnaround the business fortune. Not. He is probably coming to close us down or sell us off like some cheap used junk hoping that some poor sod is going to buy us over. I bet he gets promoted after selling or whatever he intends to do to us in the next few furloughs and rifs.

@OP+1nNF64FF When hasn't there been over the past 3 years? They may be small numbers, but every quarter, without fail, layoffs occur in SPS.

You may not see it, or hear about it, but at my level, I see the lists each and every quarter.

The furloughs in August are just the tip of the iceberg. And you saw what it did to the Titanic. Honeywell has a much weaker hull than 3 years ago when the shedding of top-notch employees started.

I'm sure you can read between the lines... | SPS is a goner |.

There will be layoffs everywhere. As per the usual. Furloughs and eband pay cuts now. Next will be layoffs. Then those who survive will be asked to take on more workload for the same pay. Then those who are overloaded will be yelled at and blamed and threatened with a layoff or PIP. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

It’s a pretty predictable playbook at this point

According to the townhall held this morning, it certainly isn't looking good for Intelligrated at least. Intelligrated needs to make some very large number of sales to avoid reductions. I don't think we will make it with all of the customers pulling back.

There is a lot of rumor and speculation but I prefer facts, personally I am only judging on the true state of the business (what I see and what I know). I have witnessed the decimation of SPS in the last 3-4 years, that is tangible, and the disappearance of the best people forced or otherwise. There can only be one outcome to that, so it will be a case of 'when' not if.
