Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What’s your salary and level?

Since this site is anon and we already know if we saved our 401k or not, let’s see what’s the salary range?

I’ll start. Management. L2 and $139K a year. Located in one of the 9 hub but not Dallas or Atlanta.

"L4 in Plano - base $278K and stock grants annually $110K on average grant but with the stock price dropping its a lot less when vested. Of course bonus target of 25% is additional. I’m paid a lot of $$$ to do pretty much nothing."

If this is true (and I suspect it is) well, this illustrates a big part of the problem. I'm an L2, 25+ years, $142K. I am good at my job and feel I am worth every penny of that, and I continue to deliver with a workload is getting unsustainable.

There is still so much fat at L4, L5. You won't see another company with AVP, VP, SVP, EVP, etc. It is completely ridiculous (and these are, as illustrated, high compensation titles). There needs to be a concerted effort to thin that herd.

Fu-k me. I'm about to change jobs. I never look at other positions. Good indentured servant here.

Level 1 Management. I make high 80s and holy cow I dont think its worth the stress especially since the people giving me stress make so much more than me.

All these six figured salaries whining about having to go to the office.

What does that make you? Some bitter old fool who sits on here whining about people because they don't walk up hill both ways? lmao. Get a hobby.

Dallas based exec level. $27 million annually, but that's a mere pittance compared to the $100 billion i've lost the company. I'm a real overachiever and a legend in my own mind. I'm hoping to be fired with a huge severance package soon.

L1B software engineer in WA. About 102K, which is at the bare minimum on the range band.

I think you'll find most people are sitting at the minimum. Anyone who isn't already got laid off.

This is a COBC violation.

Sorry but many states legally allow the sharing of wages and prevent companies from retaliating for doing so. So this in fact could not be a COBC, that would be violating many state laws. In which, AT&T would be COBCing themselves, since it’s a COBC to follow all state laws.

Why is it always such a secret what management makes, when everyone else’s pay is available to the general public.

It’s a COBC for management to share this info from my understanding. That being said the reason that is, is because they don’t want others to know. I can tell you that HR colludes with other companies on sharing salary info via 3rd parties to artificially suppress wages. This would be illegal otherwise, but that’s how they get around it. It’s also why when you interview at other companies the salaries are all similar and haven’t done much in a long time.

COBC. What’s the purpose of this? You can see any management job titles TSR (Target Salary Range) in career intelligence, along with job description, expectations and required education and experience level.

L2 south Florida is $133,00. We treat all below as shoe excr-ment especially customers and craft. They hate us, we despise the lowly workers. RTO will eliminate many in management.
