Stankey is intentionally driving down the stock price for a buyback. Get ready for very bad forward looking statements this week and a large drop. Blackrock buying large at the beginning of August.

While to the average person it would seem ill-advisible to do such a thing for reasons already discussed, you have to remember were talking about Stankey. The guy who was smarter than everyone else In the room and thought it was a great idea to buy TimeWarner and probably feels he can get away with it. 🤡
I see nothing wrong with this. I also go to the casino and gamble my rent/food money all the time.
If this is true then he’s doing an excellent job..
He broke the lead story at just the right time, so the he can blame low stock price on the lead news story during Wednesday’s earnings report.
Aren't his att stock purchase options tied to the stock price?
So if the price goes down he can exercise them but pay more than the NYSE listed price.
AT&T doesn't have money to buy anything back.
I believe OP is indicating Blackrock will be buying more….

I'm gonna get in on this too. Get some buyback myself. Take that, Stankey!
Too big to be intentional. It would result in class action lawsuit.
Blackrock is a lot smarter than too buy ATT. War stocks are way more profitable.
If this is true (and I am very skeptical that Stink is doing this intentionally), then I have to believe this likely would be considered some sort of fraud and a violation of SEC rules.
The best scenario is that this is real -- that Stink is intentionally driving down the price so T can buy back the stock and then sell at a profit - then it is uncovered and Stink not only has to pay a ton in fines, but also finds his way into the same prison as Bernie Madoff.
