"RTO" Good news and bad news.

On the good side, my Org (part of Mass Markets) was fortunate to get several virtual exceptions and a large number of approved non-hub locations, primarily in call centers who are our client base (logical for collaboration).

Unfortunately we will also have a 10% surplus, off payroll 10-05. Some found out their job was eliminated, while others were told they were in an impacted workgroup and they won't be told if they are impacted until the 3rd week of Sept with the same 10-05 off payroll date. Can't understand why the 2 groups are being treated differently.

"All employees approved for virtual will have a permanent target on their back for surplus."

There's some unfortunate truth to this. Virtual doesn't mean you've been spared forever. You will have to move or leave at some point.

Those virtual exceptions you mentioned are only temporary measures.

If this is your current opinion on RTO, you are no longer a good fit for the wanted working style at T. You are going to have a hard time adapting.
