I didn’t know that I retired until I got a package stating “congratulations on your retirement.” It was news to me. The old AT&T was a good company to work for (My father did for 20 some years). I know this is a different company, I didn’t know what bast$&!ds the management really is. If one or two of these incompetents was lest go layoffs probably could hav been said op-ed and the company would probably run better

I'm retired. I keep the land lane out of spite. If all the land lines in an area are gone, the equipment can be removed. Only offered VOIP in that area after copper is gone.

"The only connection I have with T now is my cell phone and the token retiree discount that still exists, at least for now. "

Even with that retiree discount you can get much less expensive service and just as good or better, from other companies (for example Patriot Mobile) .

I would pick the Waterford crystal Lamp. It is what I got and I really like it.

If I had 26 years I would have left already under MR75.

I guess I got a good deal, one of the last offered I think, when I left at 60 in 2019. I had 20 yrs, but met the modified rule of 75. T offered me a 6 month severance to volunteer. I took the money and run! Rolled all my 401 and pension into a private investment, as well as my final bonus. Cancelled my landline, and DTV. I had a military retirement and insurance so dropped all the company insurance. The only connection I have with T now is my cell phone and the token retiree discount that still exists, at least for now. If you're close, or in the window to retire, take the bullet and move, commute, whatever, until you can make the date, and then pack it in. I wish you all the best.
