Ranked worst by whiners that have to relocate to Dallas.
Road shooting in Richardson (between Dallas and Plano). Traffic back up 3 or 4 hours complete stand still in 103 temp 3 pm this afternoon. Road rage is real. Lots of big trucks run you off the road, junk flying off the trailers they haul. Go look for yourself if you are seriously considering Dallas as your new home. 500% uptick in stolen cars.

Texas expressways have become just like Los Angeles with overcrowding and very long commutes. The traffic crawls due to so many people living there at all times of the day, too! Good luck to those forced to move to Dallas!

Don't mess with Texas!
Texas may not be the actual worst state (I'm looking at you, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas), but you can certainly see the worst from it.
What a complete garbage "poll".
Go read the criteria they used. As if I'd pick where I live based on "inclusion."
Their top 3 are Vermont, Maine and NJ.
Vermont and Maine are miserable about 10 months of the year. NJ is miserable all 12.
In fact almost their entire top 10 are cold states, many with serious crime and urban chaos. The one that's warm is Hawaii which is obscenely expensive, and the locals do NOT want you there. They're prone to beating people up to prove the point.
