Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Amazon must be using the same employee plants

So Amazon now wants employees back to ‘hubs’ …
“There’s more energy, collaboration, and connections happening since we’ve been working together at least three days per week, and we’ve heard this from lots of employees and the businesses that surround our offices,” Amazon spokesman Brad Glasser said.”

I bet those ‘lots of employees’ are half a dozen TDP new hires or paid employee plants like the ones who ask in the town halls “you are doing so great, how can we as employees, better support the Executive team?”

"big cities are dying because of wfh."

I spend less when I go into the office. The parking garage is a pain to get in and out of so I bring my lunch in every day to not have to deal with it. When I WFH I frequently leave the house for lunch.

To h3ll with the “big cities”! Their financial woes shouldn’t be remedied by an utter fiasco like “RTO”. Furthermore, folks from the suburbs & country shouldn’t have to absorb the “big city” fiscal shortcomings either.

Overall, Americans are lazy.

Americans are actually one of the most overworked people in the world. Read the book.

ask our know it all CSuite who haven’t grown or unlocked value in a decade to actually measure collaboration vs some anecdotal bullsh-t. sure! it’s nice to see people again after a world crisis and work reset -?but circle back in 6 months after everyone is commuting in the heat and crowded Dallas and Atlanta traffic to seeing the same people day in and day out.

Amazon is not supporting RTO. I have multiple friends (ex-Pats from AT&T) working there in senior positions and they are all still VO and they travel alot for meetings.

the executive team must justify it even if productivity and work collaboration gets replaced by social chatter, sooner or later they'll use the term "flexible" but never imply that it is a correction
