Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Att added voicemail and a few other unordered features to my iPad without my approval. We occasionally hear of sales VPs being let go due to fudged numbers. The entire company has a culture of fudging numbers to please leaderships bonuses. I’m sure we have automation to help fudge numbers without doing the work. There is no regular or randomly audits and the fudging continues. This validates what session coworkers share that leaders don’t care anymore and we are seeing the effects snowballing now.

Oh and I’m going to point out the issue with streaming stuff: 1st there are way too many apps to dig through to find content, we don’t need another streaming app. Stop wasting money building a new streaming app or new and improved relaunch of what didn’t work before. What we do need is an app that pulls all that content together into one view. There’s the $billion idea.

The idea to buy more studios isn't a bad one. If they combined warner with universal, Comcast and Paramount they'd have a streaming service to rival Netflix. Since they can only charge so much to prices need to come inline. They're getting close. You could get paramount for a lot less than they paid for warner.

Andy is the used car salesman of technology. GenAI is nothing new, and won't change the way business is done. All this money he's convincing our leadership to invest, for what? To further inflate his ego.
