RTO Extension

Under Rafferty
West Coast Work Force Management

We were originally told to report to office July 1. Now it's a one year extension plus 90 days to relocate once the year passes.

Any one else get extension. Beginning to think they decided to lay us off instead.

Sounds like the extension can be used as another 12-15 months of severance pay.

They’ll make room. 80% won’t move anyway

RTO roll out did not go as planned, as the cuts were not inline with available desk space. Goal was to cut heavily but VP types made their case to how many they could let go and continue to run operations on the fly since they were blindsided by speed of RTO roll out. I am thinking if Wall Street reacts negatively to the earnings call (very likely), expect an acceleration around layoffs over relocation. By now all VPs should have a roster of who gets cut for round two, three etc while work is transitioning to off shore vendors.

Depends if your job is really important and hard to replace as well

The relocation extension is probably because the masterminds have realized they screwed the pooch with this first round and there simply isn't enough room for everyone, even with their ridiculously stupid reservation scheme. So they're forced against their will to delay additional relocations.

But layoffs at T aren't dependent on anything, and those who thought this relocation/hub idea would mean no layoffs were just deluding themselves. Stink is able to ruin people's lives in multiple ways simultaneously, while also destroying the company.
