Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

!First my job is offshored! Now someone in India used my personal data to open credit cards!

Long story short, I was displaced recently because of offshoring (and yes, I did RTO 3 days a week too).
Now I find out someone is opening up and attempting to open up credit cards in my name. My credit and ID theft monitoring company informed me yesterday that someone had access to or used my data in an attempt to open credit cards. They were able to trace the activity back to an IP address located in India. I’m not joking either. Get ready, i’m sure I am not the only one this has/had happen to. I’m sure this will become more and more common. My ID theft and credit monitoring company i pay for is still looking into this. First my job is offshored, and now i’m sure my data just did too. Clearly Wells Fargo is not doing what is best for their customers! Sr leadership knew this risk was likely to happen but data breach violations do not cost much in fines. So they clearly do not care! What is happening to this company?

Every day this happens to hundreds of thousands of people who didn't lose their job to someone overseas.

But that doesn't get the M A G A crowd out to the polls, so make up whatever story you want.

Yo OP, if this happened to you, keep real good documentation. Whether your a troll or not, it seems like this is an actual scenario that could happen especially with the mixed comments and damage control.

Didn’t Microsoft's Cloud just get hacked by China? Why is the bank creating potential risk events by doing this? Everyone is making money, why the need to greed? Go back to caring & serving your customers!

This is one PO’d bored. Seems like a pretty toxic place IMO. Maybe this is real? Seems like the trolls are trying to call out the trolls.

Regardless if the OP’s story is true, and sorry if it is but I see some trolls points. But the damage control team and trolls just validated that this is something that COULD happen, or better yet is actually happening! Def suspect either way.

End of the day though, the bank is creating even more risk when they should be focused on fixing the banks many public problems while at the same time doing the right thing for their customers, employees, etc. and still make money. Seems like the stagecoach always has the need for greed!

Should make our mortgage customers feel good knowing their tax returns go to the Indian “accountants”. I am sure there will be plenty of fraud. You can’t pay these Indians the low wages and they see what we were being paid. Probably makes them hate charlie as much as we do

It probably didn't happen. Also, FRTO.

They send your manuals, discoveries and process improvements to companies in their home country. Have you notice our stealth fighters look exactly like theirs, but they created one in only a few years?

Wow what are the odds that a guy aways whining about RTO and outsourcing on here banks with Wells, after being laid off by them, and then his data is stolen and they tell him it was from India?!

Yeah this definitely happened lmao. I’m no fan of Wells or outsourcing, but our data has been handled by Indians for a long time at this point by a large amount of companies. There is one commenter here who harps about data going to them constantly in these threads, and this is clearly that same guy fabricating a little tale to prove his own weird belief right. He’s the same troll who’s done similar things claiming he was laid low by the vaccine or he was fired and told he was replaced by a DEI hire or something that magically aligns with his politics.

I'm sorry to say this, but I'm not surprised that this happened. India has similar privacy laws to China. The government can look at all the data they want. I’m amazed That Wells Fargo Bank WFC is taking risks like these just so they can do 70 Billion in stock buybacks.

The fact that you have people looking at Customer and employee data, along with government officials being able to have a view of that data based on their privacy laws and regulations is a huge risk. I guess this company just has a huge risk appetite. in my opinion, the CEO could care less if they are on the regulators po-p list. As long as the CEO is making what he's making he will continue to use mad men tactics to save money and keep that stock price hovering in the low 40s high 30s.

Wells Fargo stock performed better even after the account scandal. After four years of no progress and no movement in the stock price, someone needs to step up and actually do what's right. The current CEO and BOD are single-handedly destroying this company, or maybe they are in collusion with another bank and getting ready to do a takeover. I'm pretty sure it's just shortsightedness, and lack of ideas or investment in tools that employees can utilize to be more efficient. instead, they are sending everything offshore. Including your data, it seems. I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you.
