Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Furloughs

HW leadership...or HR I know you are watching! Get freaking grip and run the business the way he should be run. If you were connected to daily operations and performance of the business, you would have to take these knee jerk reactions with furloughs to manage costs. I've here it all before that this is the only way to run the business and protect jobs. That's cr-p. I was laid off in 2020 as part COVID and never been happier, but I still follow the stupid leadership decisions that just keep confirming to me that you could care less about your employees and you have your hands in their pockets because you have no clue how to run a business.

I am a bit surprised that leadership would decide to hit their future shaping employees with a furlough. A shortsighted move as they signal to their most talented staff that it is time to walk. Make no sense. Good Luck hiring your next employee.

You are absolutely right! The VP of ISC HR monitors this site and I know this from being in GS&I......but as you point out....they have no power, just a minion with a title. Lots of future shapers monitor and make d-mb a%% comments like pointing out spelling or grammar mistakes because that's all they have.

You guys are nuts if you think anyone with any actual power is monitoring these message boards.

Thanks HR troll for your comments on paragraph writing.....I knew you'd take the bate. If that's all you have to offer related to furloughs then thank you for that. If I were you, I'd go get your talking points together on this like the minion you are. You are right, I am not a loss to HW, you did me a huge favor and now have a very fulfilling career out of the negative, abusive environment that you do nothing to change. Oh wait, you are not allowed or able to think for yourself as you just spend time writing talking points for someone above you.

Of course there is a furlough when the work isn't getting done due to a headcount shortage. Leaders could care less about what is important.....getting work done. Cut costs to save their own a@# because they over committed.

Generally only the thickest dolt or the consummate corporate bootlicker can endure these environments.
