Any details on which group (s) are targeted this month?

Take the surplus if it happens to you, there are plentiful opportunities out there with thriving companies whose stock prices aren’t $13 a share right now…

"Why would T ask to determine who wants to leave? Employees can leave at any time, so if people are truly interested in leaving they would already be gone."

Getting surplussed gets severance and possibly a stint on unemployment, a slight bump beyond leaving on your own.

For someone planning to leave soon, it makes a difference, as well as those who plan to seek other employment but don't haven anything lined up.

“I can't understand why T won't poll every employee to see who would like to leave on their own accord rather than be forced to move to another state just to maintain your position with this company!”

No one is being forced to do anything! Why would T ask to determine who wants to leave? Employees can leave at any time, so if people are truly interested in leaving they would already be gone.

“We just “surplussed” 5 people from our group and thats on top of the 4 people we “surplussed” 3 months ago.”

That is what leadership calls a good start!

I would volunteer to be surplussed early if it means someone who wants to stay longer can stay.

Have you shared that with your boss? Might be too late for this round, but useful for the next.

I can't understand why T won't poll every employee to see who would like to leave on their own accord rather than be forced to move to another state just to maintain your position with this company! This makes perfect sense, but T seems to never do the one thing that would help its employees! This company must truly hate its human resources!

Hang in there, people! It's all for the good of Stanley's tenure as CEO! He's the smartest employee ATT has, just ask him!

This is T. The better question is which groups will not be impacted.
