Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This lead thing..:

Could it be an attempt to sink the stock over nonsensical FUD and buy up shares on the cheap? Who’s behind it??

Not joking … word is TMO is behind this since out of the Big 3, they are the only ones without wireline broadband.

Lead has been a problem for a long time. I remember pulling lead cables out of manholes onto a crc and in the air were clouds of lead dust. I’m surprised the subject hasn’t come up sooner.

That would be lead oxide dust. Since you likely had minimal to no PPE, you might have got a good dose. Lead stays in human body for years, it doesn't want to leave once there. It fits in nicely where calcium should be in the body, your bones...

The whole thing is fishy…lead cable been around for like 90 years and the world has known for about as
long that lead exposure isn’t good…why now? It’s an artificial made up BS story to drive the stock price down on big telecom. What a farce.

There is more fragmented lead in the berms of the local g-n range. Leaching lead into the water table for 10's of decades. Telecom lead doesn't fragment into thousands of pieces at 2000 feet per second like it does at an outdoor g-n range.

This is a hit piece. There is money to be made, no doubt.

"Stankey is behind exposing the lead story. He needed an excuse to cover up his incompetency and blatant failures. Now he can blame Q2 results on this even though we all know it's a bunch of BS and Q2 is already done. "

I doubt Stankey even knows what a lead cable is. He is not that creative. I mean the last miss for FCF, was customers not paying their bills on time even though most customer autobill pay online.

We have had to provide a sample of lead cable to the AVP level to explain why air pressure is needed on the paper insulated lead sheathed cable, the same type that was removed from a building about to be demolished. It was installed in 1922.

Somebody knew this WSJ story was going out before it did. You can bet your azz those that knew, took out shorts on AT&T. What, $18 and some change one day and $13.55 a week later. AT&T was a wounded stock and when the vultures saw weakness, THEY POUNCED.
Lead cable sheathed cable was used starting in the late 1800's. Most telecoms stopped using it many, many decades ago. Who owns what, where and who put it in will be an insurmountable task to get correct.
Doesn't matter, blood is in the water now, the sharks are coming, and it is going to make a lot of law firms very, very wealthy.

Probably right, but he is convinced everyone is stupid and he is king. When he uses the lead story as an excuse, someone needs to point out the story broke after the quarter ended. But he's probably already hand picked who can ask easy questions just like the town hall bullsh-t.

Who, in their right mind, would want to own this POS stock?
