Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

As we reported previously, 2 Ex Vonage Execs/And a CFO that doesn't know squat about Subscription Economy

When the accounting problems stemmed from false projections of subscription values/ REAL Revenue, it's criminal to appoint a CFO who has ZERO expertise in Subscription (let alone Software Subscription) Economy Accounting.

But wait. There's more!

CMO is focused on Hardware as an additional added title? For a "Cloud First Software Centric" organization?
Oh people. This means, Apollo is accelerating its prescribed plan of Selling Avaya off for Parts.

CEO DID NOT align a team for growth and success. He gave his friends a job, along with EQUITY prior to the Apollo sell off.

And now we will likely suffer from selfies posing with hardware to be relevant to the new chief of BS narrative.
"....Did you know my first cell phone is also known as Hardware " ? #TheMoreYouKnow!

Ha ha. I am very much enjoying the fact that we all know CEO chose his product and marketing persons long before BK and had to wait the process before appointing them. Thus, these new chiefs have been watching the inmates since last fall. They know all the crazies. No rebranding can change what these leaders have witnessed for the past 9 or so months. They KNOW exactly who everyone really is. This is going to be most entertaining.

The vonage good ol boys is expected, albeit disappointing. Yet Avaya is what it is. There was a significant leadership gap and at least there are now captains to guide and manage a few areas. The leaders were hired with a specific mission from Apollo and CEO. CEO wants out from under Apollo ASAP. Apollo wants a pay day. Therefore. Actions will be immediate and swift to get Avaya pointed in the direction to achieve those goals. No more noise. No more people learning on the job. Immediate results only.

CMO has experience being head of "digital", which means they are astute and can spot posers from a mile away. They know how to locate tweets from old accounts (do y'all believe our prolific tweeter has only had an account for a year? ) And old/hidden deleted posts. Trust me. They've been watching these people for months

Mad dash to properly brown the tips of marketing folks noses prior to Engage.
Hope the Avaya servers can keep up with the desperate searchng to find anything on the socials of the new marketing chief. The chief posers must have their soundbytes ready to impress their new chief.

CFO has "subscription", per se, yet not enterprise or core technology. Consumer-focused subscription, especially emotionally charged weight loss is not relevant to the Avaya situation.
CFO was hired for 2 reasons

  • 1. Needed a Women Exec. Ideally for the CFO role as the interim was female. Had to round out the Vonage Good 'Ol Boys Club
  • 2. Weight Watchers went Public from PE. Apollo goal is to sell-off. Slim down. Streamline. Then go public. CFO is given a clear agenda.
  1. Vonage buddies will get equity and get paid handsomely for 1-2 yrs of work.
