i get it is an easy check but the company hasnt done anything meaningful for a decade, not sure how the marketing or IT orgs or Labs even exists, zero value add, good luck trying to find a job in a real tech company -you're screwed now

just matter of putting your destiny in your own hands and not att.
no amount of money is worth what att does to their employees
My job with AT&T allowed me to:
Buy a house.and pay it off.
Buy vehicles and pay them off.
Put me through college with tuition assistance.
Stay healthy with a pretty good healthcare plan compared to most others.
Save on internet service and wireless service.
With that said, I'm now in a position where I don't need to stay with AT&T if our interests don't align.
Stay debt free people!

You forgot to mention the diversity consultants and Chief Diversity Officer. They should be the first to go. I can say this bc I’m a POC as well.
I'm getting paid well dude, every att paycheck, with a bunch of vaca. I'm no worse off today than last year. My home is worth nearly $1 million now in a hot market, with little debt, at under 3% rate. 401k and ira's and cd's at over $1 million. Social security in my future. No other debt but my home. Funny you think I'm screwed. I'll keep putting in my time and working my best while cashing the checks until the severance final check comes. Life is good bro. My att career and saving and investing made it so.
Have you heard of carryover work.....work that carries on from year to year to year to year. Yeah I'm in IT and that is the drill, same projects and a lot of talk

there other depts that don't provide any value and the budgets have been reduced so much, you have 4-8 people working on same projects because there isn't the volume anymore
