Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

RTO was BS

June came and went. All those threats about RTO were BS. None of the admins.. sales assistants processors closers or underwriters are going in the office 3 days. Even the managers are MIA. Regional sales consultants. Market managers. Branch mortgage managers everyone is staying home. Offices are empty. All those threats. Employees for the win!

Absolutely depends on your area. I can only say that your experience is not universal. Am aware of people who are likely to be let go next month specifically for failing to comply with in office expectations.

So many people are taking leaves of absence. It's the one lever we still have. The significant increase is obviously due to RTO mandate. WF would be wise to reassess its stance and leadership, given that companies don't achieve their goals when the soldier are defecting mentally and physically.

With that said, the BOD hired a hatchet man, not a motivator or visionary. Their plan appears to be running WF into the ground and selling off pieces to competitors before imploding.

I'd say the BS has yet to be proven. Many groups had some level of RTO mandate prior to June 1. Mid-years haven't even been communicated but self-evals are closed. It was never going to be a "On June 1 be here or be gone forever" ultimatum.

And of course nothing about the application of these rules will be equal across the board. Exceptions always exist for things in general but this is going to be full of BS ones that only sow discord amongst us.

I personally don't see how the rules can say "it will impact your bonus" while also declaring it can "affect your employment." Unless they are trying to say if you get busted once but get back in line it will only affect your year end. So much vagueness.

Not sure what part of the bank you work in, but in CIB we must be in 3 days a week. It will be a performance issue in the mid-year, even if you are hitting the 3 days most of the time. And it will affect year-end bonus. We have been told this multiple times and we even have an email from one of JW’s directs. Sounds like it isn’t being applied evenly, which is one of the big problems at this bank.
