Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The RTO may have unintended advantages

The useless tools that run AT&T are going to have unintended consequences that may destroy the company for good by mandating relocations. The incompetence is staggering!

For the employees who say F you to skankey, this may turn out as a huge positive. Severance WILL happen for those that don’t “resign”. The policy states it and if the don”t pay, the lawsuits will fly!

For long timers who get 6 months, this is their chance to get paid to leave this sh$thole company and watch it tail spin out of control and crash and 🔥

Its a GIANT S#@t show. They have no idea whats going on and apparently had no plan in place. Its almost as if Stankey gave his statement to Bloomberg with out telling anyone outside of his inner circle and now everyone is scrambling to come up with answers , hence the discrepancy depending on BU. The funny part is the dont have the facilities to house all the worker if everyone were to move to those locations.

I’m waive 2 and for next 18-14 months I will do bare minimum and leave when relocation kicks in. No intention to move and no motivation to do more.

I am not a low performer but I will be out anyway simply because I am not near any of the hub locations.

"Will everyone be offered an opportunity to follow their job to Dallas? Or are only some people going to get the opportunity to follow their job, and the others like the low performers are just out? My question is, did anyone say for sure that everyone impacted will get the opportunity to move and keep their job??"

It seems to vary. Some orgs seem to be bringing everyone, some seem to be bringing some, and some orgs are making everyone reapply for their jobs.

Can’t wait for opportunity to decline relocation offer. While some are scared to lose a job, many will be happy to take severance and run. There is life after T.
