Easy money in the Bay Area

I got a callout.

2 hours easy money to get to work.
1 hour in traffic to drive to the work location. Closed ticket due to junkie camping at the work location entrance.
1 hour drive back to yard.
Paid to drive home.

Life's never been better.

And I bet you couldn’t wait to post it on here?! A board for people who are worried they will probably lose their job. Weird flex but ok.

I can't for the life of me understand why T is still hiring more techs in my area when there isn't even enough work to keep what we already have busy! We'll have even more idle time on our hands. I just don't get this company one bit! No wonder why it's in a tailspin!

Every major city nowadays… ASK YOURSELF if it’s safe to work without a partner with you.

We definitely don't need that many workers.

Most all in town central offices have more than one entrance including a basement entrance. You should have called the police since a customer is out of service.

Callouts used to be a minimum of 3 hours in our org.

The best are when you can file a grievance against some L1-L2 for doing a <10 minutes fix (IT) instead of calling you out. Then you get the 3 hours, he gets disciplined, and the work was already done.

Lol, if you get called out you get paid from the time they called you to the time you get home. If I was the OP, I would have waited a lot longer for the junkie to leave and charged more OT.

Commuting is on your own dime. Company does not pay you for your commute time nor your parking
