Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Remote jobs

Is it still possible to find good remote jobs? I feel like an id--t for trusting BofA and not leaving when there were so many excellent options available. Now I have to hope beyond hope that I can find something even remotely comparable before we have to fully return to the office.

There are many companies that offer remote positions. Just be patient and keep looking. BOA is a dinosaur being run by a bunch of tunnel visioned hacks. Not an option for anyone younger looking to build their career.

Left for a full time wfh position with a raise that was bigger than several years combined at the bank. Just use your current wfh days to go on interviews, you’ll get there.

There definitely are, but have to look harder (and longer) now. Like everything, it helps if you have very specialized skills/knowledge.

I’ve been interviewing and I think most companies are hybrid now. Based on the job descriptions I’ve seen, I’d say it’s

80% hybrid
10% fully remote
10% fully on-site

I’m applying for general “sit in front of a computer all day” business roles, so I’m sure it’s different for retail and other professions.

There doesn't seem to be as many available right now as there was during the height of the pandemic, however I've heard quite a few companies are not planning to extend their office space leases which may lead to more remote jobs becoming available in the future.
