Unfortunately, I expect nothing more than crickets on June 15th when it comes to bargained for employees!
Many of us are so f'n excited about June 15th!
I'm a technician and would love nothing more than to receive an offer on June 15th to leave this asylum earlier than I had planned! This company management can't be trusted and most employees know it's time to get out as soon as possible, with or without an offer to leave!
Imagine thinking that the union will save you
CWA. All sizzle. No steak. Worthless.
If you are craft in a group that sits in front of a computer all day you are potentially at risk to be surplus. You may have a lot experience and do your job very well but the company no longer looks at it from that perspective and they will outsource in a heartbeat to save money.
Contract language. Management crying about moving across the country has me lol'n. Most D4/Midwest union members have platinum level job security language. Lol'n.
Unfortunately att shareholders own the company. As long as they follow surplus rules and whatever back door deals they’ve made they can surplus as needed.
Where have you been the last 10 years. Craft has experienced massive reductions.
CWA does zero about it.
