Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WFC US Tech jobs

They have a bunch of Indians work during US regular hours now. WFC US is bare bones now. And hearing that they would want to cut more US staff. Not much is left. But it looks like India guys will be primary and SMEs on almost everything.
Good luck with understanding accents and dealing with a bunch of people who have no idea about the business side of things. And its a regulatory nightmare. How long before US consumer data is stolen in India? Its probably already happening for a while

Indians only hire Indians. Corporate treasury IRRBB used to be diverse Americans now Indian foreigners. This is an American company whose business relies on Americans but employs foreigners and a lot of them do not pay taxes that benefit America. They benefit India. Sharf is selling out Americans

I worked in tech up until 2 months ago when I was laid off. And I was busy as heck and great at my job, comparatively speaking. But I was not the first to go in my group. The general theme is, hack a ft emp and after 6 months of other techs pulling their hair out to make up for the last person axed, backfill with contractors when said work cannot be accomplished by techs in India. In the past 3 years we lost 4 people in my tiny group, each replaced by a contractor that has no clue what to do.

Seems that many of these comments regarding outsourcing really show the racist mentality within Wells US. Given the chance there maybe a lot of them that can put tech the US workers who have gotten used to … that’s the way we always do it. Take the cost out for a moment and ask yourselves, are you scared that some of the Asian Indian workers are smarter than you ?

Here are the common themes in these posts titled "The Bank's US Tech jobs"

  1. Outsourcing to India: There is a strong sentiment expressed that the bank is outsourcing a significant portion of its tech jobs to India. Indian employees are mentioned as working during regular United States hours, becoming primary subject matter experts, and being hired in management positions, sometimes at the expense of American employees.
  1. Communication and language barriers: The posts frequently mention difficulties in communication and understanding accents when dealing with Indian tech employees. Some individuals express frustration and claim that the Indian employees have a limited grasp of English, making it challenging to work effectively with them.
  1. Lack of business knowledge: The posts suggest that Indian tech employees may lack sufficient understanding of the business side of things, which could hinder their ability to contribute effectively. It is implied that they require step-by-step instructions and may not possess the same level of expertise as their American counterparts.
  1. Concerns about data security: There is a fear expressed that the outsourcing of tech jobs to India could lead to potential data breaches or the theft of US consumer data. The notion that it may already be happening is mentioned, with some individuals suggesting that India may not have the same level of data protection regulations as the United States.
  1. Negative perception of management decisions: The log posts contain criticism of management decisions regarding the outsourcing of jobs, specifically targeting the CEO's focus on labor hourly rates rather than proficiency or expertise. There is a sense of disappointment and concern about the bank's direction and the potential downfall of the company due to these decisions.
  1. Challenges faced by US engineers: The log posts highlight the challenges faced by software engineers in the United States. They are described as having to shoulder more responsibilities beyond development, dealing with reviews, remediation processes, and demanding executives who scrutinize applications. The absence of US subject matter experts is mentioned as a complicating factor for their work.

Overall, the common themes revolve around the perceived impact of outsourcing tech jobs to India, including issues related to communication, expertise, data security, and concerns about the bank's future. yup and they get in management because they are Indian, fire US folks and hire only other indians. Sounds discriminatory to me. And I am pleasantly surprised when I can understand one as most are a challenge. But when they are “audible “ they do the needful. But only if you provide step by step instructions

Wells Fargo is no longer a US company. They ate now an Indian company with a bunch of Indian re--rds that can’t speak English. These stupid tech people are posting on Linked in bragging about finishing training to learn the ropes. What a sad state of affairs that Wells Fargo has sunk to a new low laying off thousands of loyal employees to employ these Indians. F Charlie he is a POS

What's the worst that could happen? Penalties and fines are now a budget line at this company. By the time WF is shut down, the systems will be such a mess that the fed will not be able to make heads or tails of what happened. That is EXACTLY what Charlie and company want.

Charlie only evaluates labor hourly rates and not proficiency or expertise. This will be the downfall of Wells Fargo sooner or later. I no longer care about anything and wait for the data breach of all breaches. God Bless.

And Tech isn’t the only group where India is now in charge. WF is a disaster and has sold out the American worker.
