Perhaps the Union workers see what’s going on and bring in their negation dates in since they are next

I'm proud to be CWA Union because I get paid well, have good benefits and when there's a surplus announcement I'll get 2 years pay.

Forgot to add, this is a site that might be worth keeping an eye on:

Right there with you :D

Have had more than one opportunity to switch to mgmt over the years but, every single person I knew who did, were laid off at some point or another so . . . . I'll pass :D

I'm watching this very closely. If I see the execs start to dump their stock or see mass retirement announcements, I'm pulling the ripcord.

Last thing I want is retirement funds locked up in a bankruptcy battle or being bought out by another company.

Yes, yes we do. I'm just a Union dreg with a College Degree and have had several opportunities to take a management role. I have politely declined each time. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. A L2 that I respect told me many years ago to be careful because AT&T will steal your life.
I've remained in craft, continued to max out my 401K and will put AT&T in the rear view mirror when I am 55. They cannot surplus me when I'm not here anymore.
So Yes, I tell everyone that will listen to give great attention to how much debt the company has, how the company came to have this debt, who is responsible for this debt and just how serious it is the be the most indebted company in the history of capitalism.
