Can someone please tell me what the a.m and p.m merch team does? I genuinely wanna know. Overnight team does all the stocking runs most trucks, resets etc.. somehow these managers come in and still complain. The do no zoning,minimum stocking on our off days.. like yall should be ashamed to be collecting a check. Why complain?

Freight flow is just supposed to run the dock and pack full pallet while the morning team packs partials and afternoon zones the building except on Sunday they pack out too . Your club is Playing you
@1utc+1my8NYUI The most important thing you could do as a GM is treat your people like oh I dont know PEOPLE !!!! Treat them like people !! Not dogs or horses or pack mules !! Stress hahahahaha No GM at Sams ever worried about stressing their people ! Stack it Higher ! 10 skids per hour !! stack it to the beam !! drop everything out of the steal that you can that only is short one layer !! Send all your floor people to gather carts then gripe because recovery stinks! Oh yeah on PM shift send 4 people to clothes and the other two to recover the whole club ! Vacation what vacation? I did not see the request , when it was put in 6 months prior !! Your Favs get the promotions or desired shifts / jobs ! Your Favs get 20 points and they just go away , wink wink ! An honest hard working person who stands up for themselves gets fired on point number 5 even if they had a family emergency ! And anyone who speaks out about the injustice will be fired , for something ! You actively take a roll in their stress yet doing something that would really help like scheduling night people , heck no ! After all you might have to explain to the Market Manager why their way is stupid and you certainly wont risk that will you? Nope just keep coaching people who can not do the unreal amounts of work you require. Phone call with home office be like " I just dont know why they wont get the work done. I push them and threaten them and fire some as examples and these individuals just refuse to do the work of ten people. I just dont understand" Try being a real human being , try really standing up for whats right ! Wont do it will ya ?
True any CM can make it happen, we do when we are having work on our club. Need to understand tho that clubs have head counts. So if your at head count and don't have an overnight team, then your putting yourself under head count and those left working the regular shifts under more stress. So at my club if you pull 2 - 3 full timers from my team that's 40-60% of my full timers on my PM side. Nope, I'll pass. We already feel understaffed as it is. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you should.
If any club mgr had a brain. They can schedule people overnight. It's just certain managers would have to do some work in the day. It's called managing. Excuses and lies. 150 million or not. They can make it happen
No, once a club hit the $150 million in sales they get an overnight crew. We haven't hit that mark yet and won't for a long time. PM side (which I am 1 of the TL) #1 task is get the club zoned up, 1A is drop to stock entire floor. Once we know we will be zoned up we send our team to stock, focusing on soda to water. We would slide a lift driver or two to help our receiver run the dock. What we don't stock out falls on the AM merch to stock out.
Our third shift was taken away. We are a high volume club and without it it’s a sh-t show. They said when we reach 150 million in sales we’ll get 3rd shift and a freight flow team. How about you give us those things now and we’ll hit 150 million no problem. But it’s not gonna happen with a bare bones crew in most areas of the building and only a few hours in the morning/evening to stock. Dock is packed, can’t find anything, can’t keep up with unloading dc’s. Call offs everyday because no one wants to deal with this insanity.
