Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This is getting tiresome

I don't know if this is just an issue in my group or overall, but I'm so tired of not having focus. One minute we're all gung-ho about one strategy, and the next, we're throwing it out the window and starting over.

It's frustrating because it's making it hard to make any real progress when we're constantly shifting gears. We can't focus on one thing for long enough to see if it's working, which is demotivating for everyone involved.

I'm not sure how much longer I can keep going like this.

AT&T is so far gone now that even with new CEO and BOD, it cannot be saved. Stankey is searching for cash at every turn. Yesterday he was caught searching all the sofas in Whitacre Tower for change!

Welcome to the Stankey School of (Mis)Management!

The entry-level courses focus on how to constantly shift priorities and rotate strategies until the workforce is completely confused.

Intermediate course include advanced lying during townhalls, and how to cover-up executive incompetence through quarterly layoffs.

Advanced lessons cover how to lose over $100 Billion through ridiculous mergers and lack of industry knowledge.

Tuition is free, though graduation results in a layoff.

As expected when a company is in financial trouble. It’s called knee jerk reaction to any change in the market. Not a sustainable business model

It has always been like that here. Continuous shift in focus and trying to get Wall Street to buy off on it. Since I have been here, we have been primarily a wireless provider, then a cloud provider, then a Content Delivery Platform, then fiber became important, then an entertainment company. Consultants say, we are doing this! Get a pilot example to toot their ho-n about, then sell none of it anyone else. No documentation exists in any case on how to sell it or implement it.
What has been AT&T's successes the past 10 years? Nothing that isn't related to core business. And it better be cheap. We are not cheap, so we lose a lot of opportunity and let Lumen and T-Mobile clean out clocks.

Just remember-- Nobody Cares.

Make it your new mantra. Once you come to realize that nobody cares, you in turn won't care, and you can just accept the transactional relationship for what it is. I work, you pay, and neither of us care.

It's the entire company that is like that. They run it like the company has A.D.H.D!
