Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Which areas have learned their mapping or disposition this week

I am curious to see who had meetings this week, as I thought our group would have heard some thing by now.

There is no mapping . They have given up . Layoff notices coming after the big conversion.
USB HR is a joke. One of the worst HR orgs in banking and that is saying a lot considering Wells is a poster child for HR baffonery.

Re: Well guys, it was a great run. But our days as UB employees are numbered. Time for life next adventure.

Yup it was, my last day was 4/21/23 and after 15 years I will be enjoying some time off as well as the Union Bank severance so with it, my bonus and unemployment I should be able to take the next 1-2 years off. What department were you in and what location, TCD?

US Bank has no intention of retaining people from UB. At best 10% will get jobs. The other 7K-9K people will be let go. Expect July, Aug, Sept to be notifications. They were dragging this out to use your bonus as a retention since it pays out after conversion. They were just using UB folks because USB has never done an acquisition of this scale before. They are low life’s and not to be trusted. They really don’t care .

As we get closer to, and past the conversion the pace of layoffs will increase. Staff cuts are required to meet the 900 million in savings projected in the purchase

They sure are making it miserable by not telling people what their role will be, if any.
Now everyone is left in limbo for 6 more months.

They did the same with the tellers when they closed all the branches and forced them to go to branches not close to home, hoping they quit. USBank will do anything to avoid paying severance

Just my opinion that there are a lot of folks at UB who will hang on for the severance, no matter how miserable USB makes it

They absolutely do not went to pay severance. Hang in as long as you can but get your resume ready, etc.

Exactly. Now they are telling people you should know by end of October 2023 of your role. In December, they said most of us would know our role by March 2023.

They keep dragging this on knowing people will quit and won’t have to pay severance.

US Bank is strategically not telling you your mapping in the hopes you will leave the company so they don't have to pay you. If you haven't figured that out by now your delusional.
