Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Who even bothers anymore?

I can tell you as a previously hard working employee, this silent quitting is AWESOME. Gone are the days of ki-ling myself to meet ridiculous and arbitrary metrics, worrying about HPD reviews and making sure I get all my work done each day. Man I'm telling you guys, not caring at all about this job or this company is literally the most freeing thing I've ever experienced. I laugh on mute when I'm in these calls and our leadership is heavy breathing about the d-mb things Honeywell ALT cares about.

I've embraced the "do less, live longer" mantra and it feels GREAT

The workforce is now so small compared to what it used to be that HON now depends on everyone doing 150-200% effort just to keep things moving. Personally, I refuse to do it and I couldn't care less if I get let go. I've used the last few years to build my own side income and now I don't even need HON anymore and it's like being paroled for a crime you didn't commit. These days I come into the office, make fun of silly futureshaper ideology, stare at my desk, then go to lunch. Come back, stare at my desk, delete some emails and reply to a few (so it looks like I'm too busy to get to all of them) then I leave at the 8 hour mark.

It feels good to be a sap on the payroll just like the ALT is; the only difference is I'm not making millions of dollars on the backs of the few remaining employees. Each day I know is a day closer to that sweet RIF payout I've been dreaming of.

Hate to say it having worked under VK before but it is not going to get better.
As someone famously stated on here, at Honeywell it will always get worse before it gets worse.

always put your family and health first. This is an example of a woman who gave 20 years of her life working for Office Depot only to lose her insurance and dying from cancer because of a loophole used against her:

I too have been doing less since my furlough weeks in 2019. I think I am paid back by now. Honeywell has no method to cause their employees to feel like they are a part of something bigger. Part of something better. Honeywell is only about maximizing executive compensation to the detriment of the lower end employees. Honeywell continues to try and show that they are engaged with their employees, but it is through the fake Woke stuff that only about 10% of the people buy into. Hopefully VK gets it and starts focusing Honeywell on making money and not friends.

Remember the aero “East for east” campaign? Found out India has no money and china just buys one and copies it.

I also have stopped worrying about the work queue. I do my 40 at an even cadence and that's it.

I know they want to displace this US based worker, which is fine with me, but 40 is all they grt.
