Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Further Intelligrated Closures?

Given the announced closure of the Intelligrated manufacturing facility in West Chester. Does anyone have any info about other Intelligrated facilities that might be affected? It seems that with dearth of orders, there is more to come. Honeywell doesn't even seem to be interested in pursuing new orders. Only the sales people that need to sell stuff are interested. But, Honeywell seems to be pulling support from them.

USS in Owings Mills given their marching orders last month. Manufacturing moving to Danville. Most of the remaining engineering talent has moved on to higher paying jobs locally. Site leader left just like the two before her under the same leadership, yet Mason can’t figure out why they keep leaving. Duh!

I've been hearing that London is also on the closure list. This has been strictly from the bottom and has no connection to the top that I know of. However, if this is true, this would be the end of Intelligrated.
Sad that John Boy has wrought this kind of destruction and he is still making millions per year. What a piece of ........

Most of the management that is left at Intelligrated either knows nothing of the business or are "yes" managers.

Just follow the money and it is being invested in new manufacturing facilities in Mexico, no need for manufacturing in the USA (not really). There are companies coming up ready to take the business as there is a need and no one is supplying it.

Too many configurations, too many options, too little designs finished to perfection. That alone leads to very long leadtimes for every customer. They order something and then redesign machinery is started, which leads to quality issues and deadline problems. Customers are not happy with this and they cancell all other orders. Then leaders cut everything and leave unfinished projects to rott. Moreover Intelligrated is using various ERP systems unlike rest of Honeywell that standardized. This again brings delays, difficulties, cost increases and results in customers not being interested in such disaster. And the only cure that leaders are capable of finding is layoffs, another cuts and site closures. Well, congrats then guys, you managed to destroy another bussiness. There are plenty of competitors that happily take over our customers.

Get out of that dump of a company, the leadership at IGS is even worse than the schmucks at corporate. I left a few months ago and couldn’t be happier with my decision. KF, AP, MK, and DR are absolute clowns that couldn’t hack it in other HON businesses.
