I'll start believing in AI when Ai lays off all the leadership here

Don’t worry, they won’t need to send your ppt and spreadsheet job overseas. They are using AI and knowledge base, just a matter of time.

I would like to assure the author of this news article that making power points and excel spreadsheets is not bullsh-t job , if it were my job would have been sent overseas long ago !

As the article states there could be a lot of bullish/t jobs at T. I tend to agree there are enough of those jobs to be removed. But it’s going to hit harder and at the core of what we do. T wants to inject AI anywhere it can to bring down costs. This is no different than other companies.
I see cuts continuing for the next few years. At some point it’ll be JS and a bunch of robots running the place.

There’s definitely layoffs at L1-L4 levels. No word on 5s or 6s.
Another bad move for T if they don’t shrink at VP & above level. Layoff date for impacted L1-L4s is 6/22. Hopefully company will reorganize efficiently for those left working.

Just a few thousand more heads to roll and we will be flush. Too big to fail.

I was able to get a job in under 2 weeks. I am very happy with my new employer. Great benefits and work atmosphere. No complaints here.

Amazing that the company is still making money after laying off so many.

All these laid off people are delusional if they think they will be re-employeed anytime soon. Thank goodness for unemployment! Let the federal government pay them for not working. Biden will seek to modify the unemployment insurance program.

They could have achieved better cost savings just by laying off two guys, Randall Stephenson and John Stankey.

How can they do that and get away with it?
